Rules

1) All the members of the club will be included unless they ask to be removed, the starting positions are based on grading but in reverse i.e. the top players start at the bottom. New members will normally join at the bottom of the ladder, but this is at the discretion of the organiser based on their playing strength and the date in which they join the ladder.

2) Anyone is free to challenge anyone else within three places.

3) If you challenge somebody then they have to accept, unless they already have another game scheduled or a run of fixtures prevent a game being played. If a challenge is rejected for other reasons  then the challenged player automatically loses.

4) The date of the game should be arranged at the time of the challenge.

5) If a player fails to turn up for the game by 8pm they will lose by default.

6) Games must be played within a month of the challenge. A game may be cancelled in advance, but it must be re-scheduled within the month.

7) John Richards must be notified of all challenges and results asap so that he can update the club web site.

8) If a player beats a player above them then they swap places in the table.

9) A challenging player must not challenge again until a full day after their match is completed. This stops a player from challenging continually in order to avoid being challenged.

10) The losing player cannot re challenge the player above until they have played another game or two weeks has elapsed.

11) Each player will have one hour on the clock and games will be played to a finish.

12) At the end of the season the person at the top, provided they have played a minimum of 3 games, will be deemed the club champion.
